Adam Traum is a story teller who captures the essence of his subjects whether shooting still images or doing video work, getting to the heart of the subject.

About Adam Traum

A family friend placed a camera in Adam Traum's hands when he was 12 years old. A few weeks later a package arrived with a set of contact sheets made from the film he shot and he was hooked!

He went on to study film and photography at Ithaca College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Cinema and Photography in 1989.  In early 2000, Adam left his position as a Staff Photographer at The Savannah Morning News in Savannah, Georgia, to create Adam Traum Photography, and later Adam Traum Video and Photos in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Adam draws on his 18 years as a general assignment photographer at a variety of newspapers and news agencies to get great images for his clientele. He allows the moments to speak for themselves and quietly captures details that a busy bride, event planner or PR Manager may not have time to notice. He also knows when to step up and take charge of a shoot when needed.
